DESCRIPTION
Fake news, propaganda, disinformation, and the struggle to distinguish truth from fiction are issues that librarians are uniquely positioned to evaluate. If knowledge is power, then those who control that knowledge can be the most powerful. How does that control manifest, and in service to what goal? SFF has always held a mirror up to nature and continues to explore themes that resonate in contemporary society. A panel of distinguished SFF authors discuss the power of information and misinformation in the universes that they write about and how that reflects on the world we live in today.
