IT Director, Georgia Public Library Service
As Director of IT for the Georgia Public Library Service, Daniel works to bring new, scalable technologies and ideas to Georgia’s 61 Public Library systems. Notable current projects include the adoption of over 3,500 Chrome devices and Google’s collaboration suite across the majority of Georgia’s libraries, rentable “Technology Loaner Kits” full of emerging tech, and a traveling makerspace lab. Upcoming projects include WiFi expansion through technologies such as TV White Space, Point to Point Wifi and Mesh networks, loaner Chrome devices, and our annual technology summit. When not at the office you can usually find Daniel tinkering with electronics, engines, or overcomplicating home renovation projects.
